The Short Version
Hum ("we," "our," or "us") collects nothing. There is no account to create, no analytics, no advertising, and no network connection of any kind. Every sound you hear is generated on your device, in real time, and stays on your device. We built it this way on purpose — a sleep app has no business watching you.
Information We Collect
None. Hum does not collect, transmit, store remotely, or have access to any personal information, usage data, device identifiers, or audio. The app makes no network requests. There is nothing for us to see.
Third-Party Services
Hum does not integrate any third-party SDKs, analytics platforms, advertising networks, or crash reporters. The only party involved in a purchase is Apple, through StoreKit — see below.
Purchases & Subscriptions
Hum Premium is sold as an auto-renewable subscription through Apple's App Store using StoreKit. Apple processes the transaction, manages your subscription, and handles billing directly — we never see your payment details. Apple's handling of that data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy (opens in new tab).
On-Device Data
Your preferences — such as which sound and mode you last used, and your sleep timer settings — are stored locally on your device only. This data never leaves your phone and is deleted automatically if you uninstall the app.
Children's Privacy
Because Hum collects no data from anyone, it does not knowingly or unknowingly collect personal information from children. The app is safe for use by all ages in that respect.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date" above. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
